The General-Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu, in an interview has disclosed the party’s intention of heading to the law court to address issues pertaining to electoral misbehaviour after the Electoral Commission’s Chairperson, Madam Jean Mensa formally declared the 2020 general election results.
According to him, the Electoral Commission has answers to give on cases like one electoral officer who did double voting. One in the special voting exercise on Tuesday, December 1, and the other on general elections day on Monday, December 7.
He added the behaviour of this electoral officer is a case of double voting which he would challenge the result of that polling centre where he did this in court.
He didn’t mention the name of this electoral officer but revealed his intentions to the media.
Ghana had her general elections on December 7, 2020, to elect a leader and 275 parliamentarians to man the work of government for the coming four years.
