Veteran actor Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs has many things to be thankful for one of them is the fact that he remains strong, vibrant and golden even as he clocks 78 today 11, July. Olu Jacobs as he is popularly known has remained active in the entertainment industry. His unique talent has over the years intrigued the delight of the public.
However at some points, he was rumoured to be dead as he was not seen on the movie scene for a while. In an exclusive interview with him in 2015, the iconic actor had stated categorically how much he enjoys acting. He said;
“I enjoy what I do very much. And I have still got the physical power. My staying power has been my energy, both physical and mental, as well as the passion for the job.
Also, there are still uncle and grand-dad characters to play.” Awards won by the actor includes the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in Leading Role in 2007, the Industry Merit Award for outstanding achievements in acting at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. AMAA had also conferred its Lifetime Achievement Awards on him in 2016.
