Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered their first defeat of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season to Accra Great Olympics in their week three outstanding game.
Michael Yeboah scored the only goal in the second half to sink the Porcupine Warriors on Thursday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Maxwell Konadu made two changes to his side that won their first league game last week Friday against Legon Cities.
William Opoku Mensah and Latif Anabila replaced injured duo, Osman Ibrahim, and Emmanuel Keyekeh.
The two sides couldn’t find a breakthrough in the first half, as it ended in a stalemate.
Midfielder, Michael Yeboah, broke the deadlock in the 54th minute through a headed goal from a cross in the left-hand side of the Kotoko goal post.
Asante Kotoko mounted pressure for the equalizer throughout the rest of the game, but could not put the ball at the back of the net with the chances it created.
Kotoko will next play as guests to Dreams FC in week six of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, December 20, while Great Olympics host WAFA on the same day.
